Why You Need a Need to Design a Special Diet for Bulking Up

By Ravindra Kumari

Just as there are individuals who are tired of being too fat and want to shed their excess weight, similarly you will come across guys who want to do just the opposite, that is gain weight and bulk up. While the prospect of increasing body weight sounds pretty simple to anybody who doesn't know the basics of metabolism, the truth is that it needs a lot of hard work for skinny guys to prevail over their fast metabolic rate and put on more than a couple of pounds of extra weight.

The very simple explanation for this is that almost all slender males are endomorphs which means they usually have a naturally thin body type making it a lot tougher for skinny blokes to put on weight since whatever little calories they consume are usually burned off by their bodies during the daily activities they engage themselves in. The only good thing about being an endomorph is that your body will never have too much fat in it, and if you are successful in finding a method of bulking up that works for your body then you will be able to gain muscles while not gaining any fat, which is a great plus point to start off with.

If you are skinny and are having a hard time bulking up, you probably belong to the same category as well. But you don't have to necessarily remain like that forever. The simple secret behind bulking up is that you need a specially designed well balanced diet that comprises all three of these - carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Obviously you should make sure that the diet has a large proportion of proteins in it since proteins are the building blocks of our body and are going to be extremely crucial if you want to get a great physique since they are largely responsible for any muscle growth in the body.

Also the most important thing you need to keep in mind is that you need to consume somewhere around 500 calories more than what you are consuming on a regular basis.

So for example if you eat around 1500 calories everyday, you need to step it up to 2000 calories and since those extra 500 calories you are consuming will be stored by your body, this will help you increase your weight. But the weight gain will not be too rapid and you should be happy if you are able to gain anywhere around one to two pounds every week.
