Even better, grains are a great item to buy online because they ship well and you can find deals on quality products that are sometimes not easy to find locally. Get serious about your diet and make sure to keep these grains on hand:

Quinoa - Quinoa is an ancient supergrain that is gaining popularity today. In addition to other health benefits, quinoa is 100% whole grain and a great source of Iron. Quinoa is a health food, BUT, don't be surprised if you will fall in love with the flavor.

Organic Wild Rice - Almost 25% fewer calories than brown rice and only a third of the calories from fat. Wild rice is universally recognized as a health food. Similar to Quinoa, wild rice is cheap, delicious, and lasts forever.

Couscous - Couscous is derived from the most nutritious part of wheat, being the semolina. This grain originates in North Africa but is quietly gaining acceptance among foodies worldwide.

Risotto - Risotto is an Italian rice that is rich and creamy in flavor. Recipes usually recommend adding graded Parmesan cheese, but a health conscious eater can substitute pureed vegetables.

Millet (Mill-Et") - The term millet refers to a variety of grains, some of which do not belong to the same genus. Creamy like mashed potatoes or fluffy like rice, millet is a delicious grain that can accompany many types of food. In addition to other health benefits, whole millet is a great source of iron, magnesium, manganese, and phosphorous.

Oats - Oats are generally recognized as a cereal grain that are toasted for a delicious flavor. They are grown in unfavorable soil conditions that many other crops can't handle. The chief benefits of Oats come in the form of zinc, fiber, selenium, and magnesium.

Barley - Barley is very nutritious and contains high amounts of fiber, selenium and tryptophan. Barley can be used in soups, baked goods, and more, and is very popular due to its' rich nut-like flavor and delicious chewy consistency.
